God Is Watching — Let All Things Be Done Decently and in Order

Scripture Text:
1 Corinthians 14:33, 40 — “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace… Let all things be done decently and in order.”

A Call to Order and Awareness

The Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Corinth to remind them that God desires order, peace, and holiness in all things. The same message rings true for us today: God is watching. His eye is upon every heart, every home, and every church. Nothing escapes His attention — not our actions, not our words, and not even the thoughts we keep hidden.

The All-Seeing God

God “sits high and looks low.” He sees what happens behind closed doors and hears what is whispered in secret. He knows when our worship is sincere and when it’s just for show. The Lord is not only watching our mistakes, but also our efforts to do good — every prayer whispered in private, every act of kindness unseen by man, every sacrifice made for others.

Decency and Order in Every Area

Paul’s instruction to “let all things be done decently and in order” extends beyond the church walls. It applies to our homes, our jobs, our marriages, and our communities. Wherever we go, God expects His people to live by divine order — not confusion or compromise. When we align ourselves with God’s Word, peace follows. When we step out of order, chaos begins to rule.

Judgment and Accountability

One day, Scripture tells us, “the books were opened.” Everything we have done — good or bad — will be brought to light. No excuses, no second chances, no passing the blame. Each of us will stand before God and give an account for our lives. But this warning is also an invitation: to repent, to live rightly, and to walk in truth while there’s still time.

Sowing and Reaping

Galatians 6:7 reminds us, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Every seed we plant — whether in love or deceit, peace or confusion — will bear fruit. What goes around truly comes around, for God is just. Our words, actions, and motives all carry weight in heaven’s record.

Encouragement for the Faithful

God’s watchful eye is not only a warning, but also a comfort. He sees your good works. He knows your quiet faithfulness, your generosity, your love, and your efforts to serve. Even when no one thanks you or notices, God does. One day, He will reward every faithful act done in His name.

Final Call

Don’t let it be said “too late.” The gate to God’s kingdom is open now, but it will not stay open forever. If you have not given your life to Christ, now is the time. Let your life be in divine order, for the One who watches sees all.
